This is an Arduino-compatible NANO V3 microcontroller board — an ATmega328P board in the Nano form factor, with a Mini-USB Type-B port and a CH340-family USB-to-serial chip on board. It is the small-footprint choice for projects where a full-size board will not fit the enclosure.
⭐ Specification
– Microcontroller: Atmel ATmega328P. The unit in our photo uses the surface-mount TQFP-32 package.
– Operating voltage: 5V
– Recommended input voltage: 7-12V, fed through the VIN pin (top row, first position on the board)
– 14 digital I/O pins: D0 and D1 are broken out as RX0 and TX1, then D2 through D13. 6 of the 14 are PWM outputs.
– 8 analog input pins, A0 to A7, each brought out to its own hole on the top row
– Memory: 32KB Flash, 2KB SRAM, 1KB EEPROM
– USB-to-serial: CH340-family chip
– Board size: 0.73″ × 1.70″ (about 18.5 × 43.2 mm)
– On the board in our photo: one tactile RESET button, four indicator LEDs marked L, PWR, TX and RX, one crystal can, and four corner mounting holes
🔌 Connector & What Ships
The USB port is a Mini-USB Type-B FEMALE socket, edge-mounted at the end of the board next to D13 / 3V3 / REF. This is Mini-B — it is not micro-USB and not USB-C. A micro-USB plug and a USB-C plug are both a different shape and neither one goes into a Mini-B socket.
The I/O landing is plated through-holes, and on the board in our photo nothing is soldered into them.
– Two rows of 15 plated holes each (30 in total) run along the two long edges, plus a separate 2 × 3 ICSP block of 6 holes.
– Top row, in order: VIN, GND, RST, 5V, A7, A6, A5, A4, A3, A2, A1, A0, REF, 3V3, D13.
– Bottom row, in order: TX1, RX0, RST, GND, D2, D3, D4, D5, D6, D7, D8, D9, D10, D11, D12.
– Pin 1 of each row is a square pad — VIN on the top row, TX1 on the bottom row — and one corner of the ICSP block is square as well. Every other hole is round.
– On the board in our photo all 30 I/O holes and all 6 ICSP holes are open: bare tinned rings with daylight through them, no pin, no socket, no plastic header strip.
A plated hole has no gender of its own. Whichever header sits in it is what sets the gender, so pick the header to match how you intend to wire the board.

📦 Package Includes:
– 1x NANO V3 board
This listing covers the board only. Pin headers, a USB cable, jumper wires, a breadboard and printed instructions are not part of what you are paying for here — budget for those separately.
🧰 What You Also Need
– A Mini-USB Type-B cable. Mini-B male on the board end. Check your drawer before you order: Mini-B is a different plug from micro-USB and from USB-C, and neither of those will go into this socket. Use a data-capable cable, not a charge-only one.
– Pin header strips, plus a soldering iron and solder. Headers are not part of this package. The I/O landing on a NANO V3 is plated through-holes, and on the board in our photo every one of those holes is open. A header sitting in those holes is what lets the board plant into a breadboard or take Dupont jumpers, so budget for a strip and the tools to fit it. The header you fit is what sets the gender of the landing, so pick male pins or female sockets to match how you intend to wire the board.
– A 7-12V supply on VIN, if you will run it away from the USB port.
– The Arduino IDE on your PC, plus the CH340 USB-serial driver if your operating system does not already carry it.
❓ FAQ
Q: Do I need to solder anything before I can use it?
Budget for it. Headers are not part of this package, the I/O landing on a NANO V3 is plated through-holes, and on the board in our photo every hole is open. A header strip has to be in those holes before the board will plant into a breadboard or accept Dupont jumpers, so order a strip together with the board if you do not keep them in the drawer.
Q: Can I just use my phone charger cable?
Only if that cable ends in a Mini-USB Type-B plug. The socket on this board is Mini-B female, and a micro-USB or USB-C plug will not go in. Use a proper data cable as well — a charge-only cable will power the board but your PC will not see it.
Q: Is this a genuine Arduino-brand Nano?
No. It is an Arduino-compatible NANO V3 board and it uses a CH340-family USB-to-serial chip. It is not an Arduino-brand product.
Q: My PC does not show a COM port when I plug it in. What now?
Check two things first on a CH340-family board: whether the USB-serial driver is installed on your Windows machine, and whether the cable is a data cable rather than charge-only. Sort those two out first. If the IDE then still reports that the programmer is not responding, contact us and we will work through it with you.
Q: How many usable pins do I really get?
14 digital (D0/D1 appear as RX0/TX1, then D2-D13), 6 of those digital pins are PWM, and 8 analog inputs A0 to A7. The 2 × 3 ICSP block is separate from those.
