A 2.54mm single-row 40-position header for prototyping and custom PCB work.
This listing sells seven options on one page, and they are not all the same connector. Six options are male pin headers in six insulator colours. One option, 40FBAHD, is the female socket strip — the mating half, not a pin header. The option you select decides the gender, the colour and the price, so read it before you pay.
 
 
⭐ Specification
– 40 positions, single row — on every option.
– 2.54mm pitch (0.1 inch) on every option — the standard 0.1 inch grid used by breadboards and prototyping boards.
– Gender is set by the option name. Six options are named male, one is named female. Check the option you select before you pay — the two genders are different connectors that mate with each other, not two finishes of the same part.
– Insulator colour is set by the option name — black, blue, green, red, white or yellow on the male options; black on the female option.
– On the photographed 40MBAHD (black male): straight (vertical) pins, not right-angle. Solid metal pins pass through the insulator and stand out on both faces. The contacts are bare — nothing is pre-soldered, crimped or terminated onto them. The pin metal reads a neutral silver tone, not gold.
– Price is set per option, not one flat price across the page: RM0.55 for 40MBAHD (black male) and 40FBAHD (black female), RM0.60 for the blue, green, red, white and yellow male options.

40MBAHD — the option in the main photo. A male pin header: solid metal pins in a single row, passing right through the plastic and standing out on both faces. Straight type, not right-angle. The insulator is moulded as one cell per pin sitting on a thin connecting web, repeated evenly across all 40 positions. There is no shroud, no housing, no keying and no screw terminal.
40PHDRE — the red male option. Photographed separately: the same straight, single-row male pin form in a red insulator, with pins that read the same neutral silver tone as the black one.
40FBAHD — the female option. A different connector: a continuous black bar with one square receptacle opening per position along the mating face, and one short solder tail per position on the opposite face. Straight type. It has no plug-in posts — this is the half that male pins push into.
40PHDBL, 40PHDGR, 40PHDWH and 40PHDYE are male pin header options, in blue, green, white and yellow insulators respectively.
