⭐ Specification
– Microcontroller: ATmega328P
– USB-to-serial converter: CH340G, a 16-pin SOIC surface-mount chip sitting between the USB socket and the MCU
– Operating voltage: 5V
– The board also provides a 3.3V rail — 3.3V is silkscreened on the breakout holes, and the power section carries a surface-mount regulator with two 47uF 16V electrolytic capacitors
– 14 digital I/O pins. Six of them are PWM-capable — the silkscreen reads DIGITAL PWM~ and the tilde markers are printed on the board next to those pins
– 6 analog inputs, on the edge silkscreened ANALOG IN
– 32KB flash memory
– 16MHz clock speed
– Four status LEDs, silkscreened ON, RX, TX and L. L is the pin-13 LED
– SMD build: the main microcontroller is a QFP-32 soldered flat to the PCB with gull-wing leads on all four sides. There is no DIP-28 socket, so the chip is not removable
– Standard Arduino UNO R3 shield footprint. The digital edge carries the R3-specific SCL / SDA / AREF / GND positions, so R3-era shields fit. The opposite edge is silkscreened POWER and ANALOG IN
– Two separate crystals are fitted, one beside the USB-serial chip and one beside the MCU
– Blue PCB, white silkscreen, UNO printed on the board face, plated mounting holes
– Two power inputs on the board: the USB Type-B socket, and the onboard DC barrel jack
🔌 Connector & What Ships
This board arrives pre-soldered. Nothing needs assembly for normal shield use.
Shield headers — FEMALE, pre-soldered. All four 2.54mm strips are black female socket strips, already soldered on, in the standard Arduino UNO R3 footprint. The slot openings are clearly visible on all four strips. A shield drops straight on top.
ICSP header — MALE, pre-soldered. One 2×3 (6-pin) male pin header, pins pointing up, sited beside the MCU crystal at the RX0/TX1 corner. There is only one ICSP block on this board.
USB — FEMALE. Through-hole USB Type-B socket with a metal shell. It takes the square, printer-style USB Type-B plug.
DC power — FEMALE. Black barrel DC jack on the power-side edge.
What ships UNSOLDERED — read this part. The board’s extra pin access is not connectorised. Two areas are bare plated through-holes with nothing fitted in them:
1. A block of 12 bare holes in three rows, silkscreened RX / TX / 5V / GND, then SCL / SDA / 5V / GND, then 3.3V / 3.3V / GND / GND.
2. A full second inner row of bare holes duplicating every digital pin (SCL, SDA, AREF, GND, and 13 down to 0), running parallel to and inboard of the female header strips.
These are holes, not sockets. You cannot push a jumper wire into them. To use them you must solder your own 2.54mm header strip in, and a header strip for those holes is not part of this item.
⚒️ Interesting Project
1. Smart Plant Watering System – Monitor soil moisture and automate watering
2. LED Music Visualizer – Create reactive light displays to audio input
3. Weather Station Monitor – Track temperature, humidity, and pressure
4. Robot Car Controller – Build a basic programmable robot vehicle
5. Home Security System – Design motion detection and alarm systems
📦 Package Includes:
– 1x UNO R3 (CH340) SMD board, with all four shield headers and the ICSP header already soldered on
Our product photo shows the board on its own. Shields, sensors, jumper wires, standoffs and screws, a DC power adapter, spare header strips for the bare breakout holes, and printed documentation are not part of this item.
🧰 What You Also Need
– Male-to-male jumper wires, if you are wiring out from the shield headers to a breadboard. Those headers are female sockets and a breadboard hole also takes a male pin, so a breadboard run from them needs a male pin at both ends.
– 2.54mm header strips and a soldering iron, only if you want to use the extra breakout holes described above. Everything else on the board is already soldered.
– A DC power adapter, only if you want to run the board away from a computer’s USB port. The barrel jack on the power edge is the input for it.
– Shields need nothing extra — they plug straight into the female headers.
❓ FAQ
Is this a genuine Arduino?
No. It is an Arduino Uno compatible board. It uses a CH340G USB-to-serial chip rather than the ATmega16U2 fitted to some other boards. A USB-to-serial chip presents a serial COM port to the computer rather than a USB HID device, so this is not the board for keyboard or mouse emulation over the USB port.
Can I pull the microcontroller out and reuse it, like on a socketed Uno?
No. This is the SMD version. The ATmega328P is a QFP-32 soldered flat to the PCB. There is no socket and no removable chip.
Will my Arduino R3 shields fit?
Yes. The header layout is the standard UNO R3 footprint, including the SCL / SDA / AREF / GND positions on the digital edge, so R3-era shields seat correctly.
There are extra 5V, GND, SCL/SDA and 3.3V points on the board. Can I plug jumpers into those?
No. Those are bare plated through-holes, not sockets. They are unpopulated from the factory. You need to solder your own header strip into them before you can plug anything in.
